Collection: ALAIN M.

Painter and sculptor, born in Paris in 1967, Alain graduated from IPEDEC (School of Decorative Painting in Paris) and specialized in trompe-l'œil painting. Over the years, he has developed his own style and brought to life an innovative and rich method of working with diverse materials.

Using a variety of techniques (such as acrylic, oil, matte or glossy varnishes, gold or aluminum leaf), he strives to give his works a truly tangible quality by creating relief effects on 3D canvases.

On meticulously crafted backgrounds, his work sits at the intersection of painting and sculpture. He creates his pieces on canvas, plexiglass, and even aluminum, which he skillfully undulates. The shapes range from straight to wavy, with subtle tones and contrasts… a secret alchemy that blends precision of form and color, breathing life into his works and conveying the meaning he seeks to express. He draws inspiration from imagery of comics, Disney, cartoons, superheroes, American sports teams, and more. He also enjoys painting his hometown, Paris.
