Information : Paloma (Argentinian, b. 1971) was born in the countryside of Cordoba, Argentina, where her love for nature was rooted. She is a Miami based artist and founder of Plant the Future. Trained in industrial design, she melds her botanic knowledge to produce innately interactive installations that unravel multisensory experiences composed by nature’s pure colors, textures and sounds. Her work explores the relationship between ecosystems and urban life, and situates her practice within a context of mutual concessions among plants and humans, where she evokes the viewer to reestablish a blurred connection with earth’s living objects. Her inspiration comes from biomimicry and the beauty of how nature grows and develops. Plant the Future was founded in 2008 in the Wynwood art district of Miami, starting as a Botanical art gallery and plant boutique. Soon after, the company grew to also include a design studio, which has brought an artistic connection to nature in homes and businesses around the world. The projects include Starbucks stores in Maryland, Florida and Georgia; co-working spaces in Manhattan; hotels in New York and Florida; corporate headquarters; private residences and more. Plant the Future continues to collaborate with artists, interior designers, architects, and developers across the world to bring people closer to nature. Teppa decided to dedicate her life to helping people experience the happiness nature brings through her art. For Paloma, making the world she wants means more than forging a path from a love for plants — it’s a passion to create well-being through a connection with nature. Optical Art uses purely geometric forms to create visual effects using the physiology and psychology of perception. We combine moss with optical art to create special pieces that make nature and consciousness the focal point of any commercial or residential space. Moss was the first plant to emerge from the ocean and conquer the land. It is a natural indicator of direction, used for navigation as they grow on the north side of trunks in nature. Moss brings the calmness and peace of the forest into your life. Its silence allows you to hear your inner voice."
